“Alumbond is a great initiative to bring together Thomasonian alumni for the benefit of alumni as well as society at large. Its various activities through different communities are already doing great job and benefiting all members. "Listening Ear" and "Helpline" are great services to the community as well as a provider of opportunity to alumni for philanthropic contributions. "Sunday Learning Sessions" are not only sharing experiences but also educative for all seeking knowledge in interesting areas where as various communities are benefitting members in social and economic activities. “During disturbed Middle East due to war situation where no couriers were operating, my daughter in law’s passports were delivered from the UK to Dubai on priority and on the same day - maybe about 10-15 days ahead of the anticipated delivery date by DHL. Now they can move out of the war zone to India. This has been possible with the brotherhood shown by members and volunteers of AlumBond. This ‘support’ gains significance as it involves coordination in India, UK and the Middle East. My gratitudes to the spirit of brotherhood of IITR once again. ”

“During a family trip of 13 members, we encountered multiple challenges during travel, including a name discrepancy on the flight ticket, lost luggage which could have led to significant inconvenience. Despite the busy and demanding situation due to Indigo flight operations, An AlumBond Volunteer personally intervened and facilitated priority check-in for 13 passengers, and ensured a smooth journey. His prompt response, professionalism, and willingness to go above and beyond truly reflect the strong values and spirit of the IIT Roorkee alumni community. ”

“Have been part of Roorkee alumni associations in various parts of the world off and on since I graduated in the year 2000. Most associations gravitate towards organizing culture events. Those are important for bonding and networking. But the real benefit of an alumni community is when it helps you improve either personally or professionally. I stumbled upon AlumBond, one of the most active and helpful group in this network is the investment and equity group where we have investors from all walks of life sharing valuable knowledge. The discussions are high quality and help you with forming your own view on a particular equity or markets in general. I hope more people join and genuinely keep helping each other and encourage everyone to invest judiciously and do well in life. ”

“My thanks goes to Alumbond for creating this exceptional self help group. I wish to thank COV -Alumbond Volunteers who made untiring efforts and helped me in resolving a complex problem related to error in Taxable interest calculation by EPFO. In my case EPFO reported erroneously high taxable interest in our 26AS resulting in additional tax liability of around Rs two lakh besides non taxable interest loss.I exhausted all grievance redressal mechanisms such as EPFiGMS, CPGRAMS and Ministry of Labour with little success. With dedicated efforts of AlumBond volunteer and his regular followup with EPFO HQ Delhi and Regional office Mumbai, my grievance is now resolved and actual taxable interest figures have been revised by EPFO in 26AS. Best part of this journey was that regular updates were given by AlumBond Volunteer about progress of case. ”
